Tip of the Month:

Ever heard the expression, "You are what you eat?", well its true.  Your hair retaines everything your body consumes.  To keep your hair looking healthy and shiny take a look at implementing this health regiment:

Hair is made of keratin, a form of protein, so don't skimp on protein-packed lean meats, fish, eggs, beans, and low-fat dairy products, says Kingsley. He also recommends getting plenty of healthy omega-3 fats, which are found in salmon, soybeans, flaxseed oil, and walnuts. "Eating these can increase hair's sheen over time," he says. Nutrition interventions take time—expect to show off new shine in about six months...

Tip of the Month:

Your hair pH is considered to be an acid and falls at around 4.5-5.5 on the pH scale. Have you ever heard of products that claim to be pH balanced? That is SO important for your hair because it allows your hair to function as it naturally should. It will help to keep your cuticle smooth which leads to shinier hair, increased color retention, a smoother blow dry. etc

Get regular trims: This one is more appropriate for before you get your hair colored but it still is worth mentioning. Hair that is damaged (by chemicals, the environment, heat, etc) doesn’t hold color because it’s full of micro-holes, split ends, etc and the color will literally have nothing to hold onto so it will just wash right out after a few shampoos. Nobody wants that! So get regular trims to make sure that you’re only coloring healthy hair for the best results.

Tip of the Month:

Our lives are often extremely busy and complex for the most part.  Who actually has time to sit down and do their hair and make up in the morning before the start of a busy day and look your best?  Guess what? You do!  Understanding the contours of your face and head shape can often quell alot of frustration when time is of the essence.  Be sure to consult with your stylist to learn which is conducive to your type.

Curling the sections of the hair around the face or sweeping the bangs to the side creates a pretty frame to showcase the eyes and cheekbones.
